Well said! It's encouraging to see others stand up to these things.

The main problem with this website, and basically any and all unitarian defenses, is that they always, always, always blame mistranslations. Somehow, God has let His perfect Word and the saving Gospel message become so twisted and misconstrued that there is no longer any hope for the majority of believers unless they are proficient in the ancient languages. If people do happen to graduate with a degree in etymology, the matter of "context" blocks you from the truth. I would've sincerely appreciated a "This is what I believe" page, with a summary of beliefs.

It's funny because the admin of this site states in the "Why I'm no longer a trinitarian" section that according to the common definition of the triune God, "Father is not the Son is not the Holy Spirit", he'd still be considered trinitarian. To properly explain, however, visitors must indulge him to split his crystal clear argument across manifold pages.

Oh the mysteries of God, who can know them! Can we explain eterenity, when most of us can't even explain the workings of electricity? Or even windshield wipers?? As Bible-believing Christians, our bickering and arguing over theological points all must come short of Jesus Christ's wonderfully simple Gospel message: He is our Redeemer and our Master. No one is saved by any other way but solely by believing on Jesus, that His sacrifice upon the cross paid the price which we were to bear otherwise in eternal damnation. Jesus gave His life for us, the sinners, and by grace alone do we receive that gift, and with the faith the Holy Spirit gives us, we live to minister unto God. Upon this absolute, rock-ribbed truth, we must all unite as brothers and sisters in Christ. I sincerely hope this is what not only the admin believes (and what He primarily hopes to spread), but any other passerbys here come to believe as well.

Having destroyed your arguments in your post on Isaiah 9:6, it seems I will have to do the same here again. Looking at this article, I don't even know where to begin with the absolute nonsense written here, but let me begin with some of your mischaracterisations.

You stated and I quote you directly "Please observe that Jesus is not doing works as if He is God Himself (the Father) in the flesh (Trinitarian view), but a divine person in subordination". This is a bare faced lie, no trinitarian believes that Jesus was the father himself in the flesh. Believing that Jesus was the father in the flesh is the heresy of sabellianism (AKA Modalism).

The doctrine of the trinity holds that the Father, his Word (Jesus), and his Spirit are ontologically the same. That is they are of the same essence (Homoousion). The father is the source of deity and the Word and Spirit both share in it by virtue of being intrinsic to the father and inseparable from him. This is why the father is the Monarch and has authority over the Word and the Spirit. The Word is the Word "OF" the Father and the Spirit is the Spirit "OF" The Father, they both belong to the father. The father cannot be separated from his Spirit or from his Word, it is impossible, they have always existed with him, and as such are eternal and divine.

Now that I've cleared that up, let me now destroy your arguments. The whole of John chapter 10 is Jesus claiming to be the partner of the Father. He claims to do the very things which only God can do such as give eternal life. But he doesn't claim to do them alone. Instead he claims that him and his Father are united in doing them "I and the Father are one".

The problem with this is that Yahweh has no partners. Yahweh does not work in union with anyone else, let alone a Galilean peasant. He has messengers whom he sends out to accomplish certain tasks, but they are not his partners, they cannot do whatever he the creator can do. Whereas Jesus claims to do "ALL" that the father does “Very truly I tell you, the Son can do nothing by himself; he can do only what he sees his Father doing, BECAUSE WHATEVER THE FATHER DOES THE SON ALSO DOES. For the Father loves the Son and shows him all he does" John 5:19.

No creature can do "WHATEVER" the creator does. It is impossible because creatures are limited. This is why the Jews wanted to kill him, because he had raised himself to the level of God whereas to them he was nothing more than a man "We are not stoning you for any good work, they replied, but for blasphemy, because you, a mere man, claim to be God" John 10:33.

You also said and I quote you directly "Most Trinitarians overlook the context. In defense of His divine identity, Jesus invokes the existence of other gods". No this is false. On the contrary, you are the one who overlooks the context. The bible both old and new testaments acknowledge the existence of other gods, even Satan is referred to as the God of this world in 2 Corinthians 4:4. The issue is not the existence of other gods, the issue if the worship of these other gods instead of Yahweh or alongside Yahweh "You shall have no other gods besides me".

The gods of Psalm 82 are not Israelites but angels, and they are not to be worshipped by Israel. These gods are not friends of Yahweh, they are his enemies. These gods are the gods of the other nations and Yahweh judges them and issues a death sentence on all of them. The Psalm ends by saying that Yahweh should judge the earth and take over the nations. Psalm 82 has nothing to do with Israelites, Israelites are not mentioned even once in that Psalm. It is about the gods of the nations and their opposition to Yahweh.

Since you claim that Jesus is a different and lesser God than Yahweh his father, I quote you directly again "But there is a third option. Jesus was a separate god, subordinate to His Father ". Then you have a problem. Because no other god is to be worshipped alongside Yahweh whereas all throughout the New testament Jesus is worshipped alongside his father.

Stephen prays to Jesus at the point of death "Lord Jesus receive my spirit" Acts 7:59.

Every single creature worships the lamb together with the father in Revelation 5:13-14 "Then I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and on the sea, and all that is in them, saying:

“To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb
be praise and honor and glory and power,
for ever and ever!”

The four living creatures said, “Amen,” and the elders fell down and worshiped".

Jesus's disciples were also invoking his name "Then Peter said, “Silver or gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you. IN THE NAME of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk" Acts 3:6.

All the churches in the time of the apostles also invoked the name of Jesus "To the church of God in Corinth, to those sanctified in Christ Jesus and called to be his holy people, together with all those everywhere who CALL ON THE NAME of our Lord Jesus Christ—their Lord and ours" 1 Corinthians 1:2.

If Jesus is a separate God, then what you have in the Bible is Polytheism. Because Yahweh warns the Israelites in Exodus 23:13 not to invoke the name of any other god. "Be careful to do everything I have said to you. Do not invoke the names of other gods; do not let them be heard on your lips" Exodus 23:13.

It is the God of Israel who is to be called upon, the israelites are not to call upon any other god. "And Abraham planted a grove in Beersheba, and called there on the name of the Yahweh, the everlasting God" Genesis 21:33. "And everyone who calls on the name of the Yahweh will be saved" Joel 2:32. It is only the name of Yahweh that is called upon all throughout the old testament, to call upon the name of another god is a sin against Yahweh.

So if Jesus is not Yahweh, then you as well as all the disciples of Jesus, and the angels in heaven are all Polytheists who are worshipping a lesser god named Jesus alongside Yahweh. You are worshipping two gods, Yahweh and a creature named Jesus. You are therefore polytheists and enemies of God.
